"Choose the best world for me"
Wow, this new feature has potential, but needs work.
I'm talking about the fact that when you go to log into Runescape now, there's an easy way to connect to a server that is closest to you physically, which would be the least laggy, presumably, to play.
The one problem is that # of players currently on that world is largely not considered when determining what the "best world" is for the player in question. I'm glad that if the closest server is full I'm not recommended to try to log into it, but I DO NOT like that there are servers with 900 players but the system is telling me I'm best to log into a server with 1975 people currently logged in to it.
I hope Jagex gets it so there's another piece to their checking - that is, number of players on the server. I don't find that any of the servers are particularly laggy - playing from Canada, I've used servers from all over the globe with no adverse problems.
So... be sure to do your own picking still, if you don't like extreme competition.

i would have to agree on this one. I sometimes play late at night when all the annoying children are sleeping. I go to the least populated worlds to do my business.
i would have to agree to. i have always chosen the world i want to go into and it never lags. i think the 'choose the est world for me' is a good idea but it really does need work.
I agree almost completely... unless you need to trade with a friend, the least filled servers are the best, esspecally when farming, like combat and mining... I remember when all the goblins were getting pawned, so i changed servers and it wasn't nearly as bad...
